First Officer (A330/A320) – SriLankan Airlines

SriLankan Airlines, a premier flag carrier with an expansive network across Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, and Europe, is seeking qualified First Officers for a direct-hire, two-year renewable contract. Candidate Requirements

  • Current ICAO/EASA/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Licence.
  • Current A330 or A320 type-rating endorsed on the licence.
  • Minimum of 1,500 total flying hours.
  • Minimum of 500 SIC (Second-in-Command) hours on the A330/A320.
  • Proof of recent flight experience on type within the past 12 months.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or above.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical certificate under one authority.
  • Clean accident and incident record.

Compensation and Contract Terms

The position includes a comprehensive financial package:

  • Contract length: 2-year renewable term.
  • Basic Salary: Starting from $4,710 per month.
  • Type Allowance: $400/month for single fleet (A330 or A320); $600/month for mixed fleet (A330/A320).
  • Accommodation Allowance: $1,500 per month.
  • Settlement Allowance: $2,355 (one-off payment at start of employment).
  • Additional benefits include per diem, overtime, and an average block time of 50–65 hours per roster.

  • Children Support Allowance: $300 per child/month (up to three children).
  • Staff travel benefits (ID tickets within the airline's network).
  • Leave entitlements: 28 days annual leave and 14 days sick leave.

  • Airline Training: 3–6 weeks duration with a $2,500 allowance provided during the training period.
