Additional Clarifications
The required current type rating need not be on the UK licence; however, candidates must retain a UK fATPL(A) or ATPL(A) and must not have surrendered their UK licence to acquire an EASA/ICAO licence. A "relevant aeroplane type" is defined under Part-FCL as a multi-pilot turbo-jet aircraft certified to CS-25 standards (or equivalent) or a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane with a maximum certificated take-off mass of at least 10 tonnes or a passenger configuration exceeding 19 seats. Please note that relevant flight experience within the 12 months preceding a Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) conversion course is a prerequisite for ZFTT eligibility.
