Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a highly skilled CH-47F Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) for its Chinook Integrated-Services Support (CISS) contract in Townsville. This permanent, full-time role is embedded within the School of Army Aviation (SAA) Chinook Wing, focusing on training and readiness of aviation personnel.
About the Role
As a CH-47F Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI), the incumbent will deliver high-level instruction across airborne, synthetic, and ground-based environments. This role is crucial for the training and readiness of aviation personnel, ensuring the highest standards of flight safety and operational excellence are maintained. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality CH-47F instruction, overseeing and conducting CH-47F general flying operations, and ensuring compliance with all mandated aviation orders, instructions, and publications.
Responsibilities

Execute high-quality CH-47F airborne, synthetic, and ground-based instruction to support pilot development.

Oversee and conduct CH-47F general flying operations in accordance with established protocols.

Proactively maintain all flying currency and professional qualifications as mandated by Army Aviation Orders, Instructions and Publications.

Champion a robust safety culture, promoting a secure and effective work environment.

Manage associated instructional and administrative tasks to ensure seamless training workflows.

Actively contribute to the evolution of training methodologies and team performance.
Requirements and Qualifications

CH-47F NVIS Command

Group 4 Command Instrument Rating

CASA CPL-H (or higher)

Current CLASS 1 Medical

Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Defence security clearance.
