OCU Pilot Instructor

Boeing Defence UK (BDUK), a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is seeking two experienced OCU Pilot Instructors to join its growing team at the P-8A Training Centre located at RAF Lossiemouth. These instructors will report to the Boeing P-8A Training Delivery Manager, via the Lead Pilot Instructor, and will primarily deliver simulator training for P-8A pilot customer training. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding training team.

The Pilot Instructor will deliver P-8A simulator and ground training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and MAA regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include developing and conducting simulator and ground school pilot instruction, creating training tools and techniques, and applying both instructor-led and computer-based training methodologies. The instructor will coordinate training, apply standardized teaching techniques, conduct demonstrations, and implement evaluation procedures to meet military and civilian regulatory requirements and contractual standards. Furthermore, the instructor will evaluate student competence and identify and correct conditions affecting safety. Other relevant activities may be assigned as needed.

Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience within the defense flying training domain as qualified flight training instructors. Prior experience with the P-8A and previous Boeing 737 type rating experience are highly desirable. A multi-engine fixed-wing pilot background, preferably ex-military, with large aircraft, multi-engine/multi-crew experience is preferred.
