Essential Minimum Requirements:
Prospective candidates must demonstrate adherence to the following stringent qualifications:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 250 hours.
- Multi-Engine Flight Time: A minimum of 50 hours.
- Licence and Ratings:
- A valid UK CAA issued Frozen Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- A current Multi-Engine (ME) Instrument Rating (IR).
- Possession of a Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate.
- Medical Certification: A valid UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) at Level 4 or higher.
- Security and Background Checks: Candidates are required to provide verifiable references and successfully complete a comprehensive five-year background and criminal record check.
- Visa and Right to Work: Please be advised that Blue Islands does not offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must possess the unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Type Rating: An existing type rating is not a mandatory prerequisite, as full type rating training will be meticulously provided by Blue Islands to all successful applicants.
Highly Desirable Attributes and Preferences:
While the following are not strict prerequisites for all applicants, candidates possessing these attributes will be given preferential consideration:
- ATR Aircraft Type Rating: Applicants currently type-rated on ATR aircraft will be highly regarded. However, Blue Islands is fully prepared to provide comprehensive ATR type rating training for all otherwise suitable candidates.
- Command Experience: Significant command experience on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10,000kg is considered a substantial advantage. This experience, while not a minimum requirement for all roles, indicates a level of operational maturity and leadership highly valued by Blue Islands.
