Pilot - Dornier 228 - Bighorn Airways, Inc.
Bighorn Airways, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our dynamic team. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our company while engaging with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Pilot Dornier 228 aircraft for the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, as well as supporting FedEx and UPS during the Christmas peak season.
- Conduct operations in the challenging mountainous terrain of the Rocky Mountain Region and the state of Alaska, often navigating unfavorable weather conditions.
- Execute demanding low-level missions, including the deployment of smokejumpers in remote locations and para-cargo delivery.
- Perform point-to-point missions under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a valid First Class Medical.
- Minimum 3500 total flight hours.
- Minimum 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in airplanes.
- Minimum 200 hours PIC in multi-engine land airplanes.
- Minimum 100 hours PIC in turbo prop aircraft.
- Minimum 250 hours PIC in large aircraft.
- Minimum 200 hours low-level flight experience.
Preferred:
- 5000 total flight hours.
- 1000 hours PIC in turbine multi-engine aircraft.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven expertise in low-level flying, preferably with experience in agricultural aviation.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
