Pilot - Dornier 228 - Bighorn Airways, Inc.

Bighorn Airways, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our dynamic team. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our company while engaging with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Pilot Dornier 228 aircraft for the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, as well as supporting FedEx and UPS during the Christmas peak season.
Conduct operations in the challenging mountainous terrain of the Rocky Mountain Region and the state of Alaska, often navigating unfavorable weather conditions.
Execute demanding low-level missions, including the deployment of smokejumpers in remote locations and para-cargo delivery.
Perform point-to-point missions under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions.

Qualifications:

Essential:

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a valid First Class Medical.
Minimum 3500 total flight hours.
Minimum 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in airplanes.
Minimum 200 hours PIC in multi-engine land airplanes.
Minimum 100 hours PIC in turbo prop aircraft.
Minimum 250 hours PIC in large aircraft.
Minimum 200 hours low-level flight experience.

Preferred:

5000 total flight hours.
1000 hours PIC in turbine multi-engine aircraft.

Candidate Profile:

Proven expertise in low-level flying, preferably with experience in agricultural aviation.
Exceptional customer service skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team for extended periods.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
