Pilot - Eccles, Greater Manchester

Babcock International seeks a dedicated Pilot to join their team at the Barton site in Eccles, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an attractive salary and benefits package. The Pilot will play a crucial role in Babcock's mission to create a safe and secure world by providing mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance and police sectors through Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO).

The Pilot will conduct single-pilot day and night HEMS operations in support of the Northwest Air Ambulance charity. Responsibilities include adherence to health and safety regulations and a strong understanding of aviation regulations.

This position operates on a 42-hour work week with a 4-day on/4-day off roster. The successful candidate must reside within 25 nautical miles or 45 minutes of the Barton base.

Essential Experience:

• 1000 hours pilot in command of aircraft, with 500 hours pilot in command on twin-turbine helicopters; OR 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations, with 500 hours as pilot in command under supervision and 100 hours pilot in command of twin-turbine helicopters.
• 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience.
• 500 hours operating experience in twin-turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
• 20 hours VFR at night as pilot in command.

Qualifications:

• Hold a UK ATPL(H) or CPL(H) + IR.
• Full UK Aviation Class 1 medical.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance. Eligibility for certain roles may be affected by place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency held.
