Touring Pilot
Babcock International seeks a highly skilled and experienced Touring Pilot to join its team. The Touring Pilot will play a crucial role in providing aviation services for mission-critical operations across multiple countries. As part of the Babcock International Group, the successful candidate will contribute to a global organization committed to providing critical asset, infrastructure, and training support to various sectors, including emergency services, energy, and defense.
Location: Staverton, UK (with potential touring assignments throughout the UK, including Manchester (Barton or Blackpool), and the Midlands (Cosford))
Responsibilities:
- Execute varied and challenging flying duties across a range of disciplines, including HEMS and NVIS operations.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional expertise and safety throughout all operations.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum of 2000 hours total helicopter experience.
- 1000 hours Pilot in Command/ Captain of aircraft, with 500 hours as Pilot in Command on twin turbine helicopters; OR 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations, with 500 hours as Pilot in Command Under Supervision and 100 hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
- 500 hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
- 20 hours VFR at night as pilot in command.
Qualifications:
- Hold a UK ATPL(H) or CPL(H) + IR.
- Possess a valid Class 1 Medical certificate.
- Ideally, hold a Type Rating on either an EC135 or H145.
- Fluent in English.
- Hold a valid Driving License, Passport, and Right to Work in the UK.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
