Babcock is seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified Multi-Engine Helicopter Pilots to join their Aviation & Critical Services team. This full-time, fixed-base opportunity offers the chance to serve the community and become part of an experienced team.

This position requires the performance of Line Pilot duties on AW139 and B412 helicopters, based in Rockhampton, Queensland. Successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the base, as this is a fixed-base operation supporting the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service.

The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • CASA CPL (ATPL preferred)
  • Class 1 Medical
  • Instrument Rating with MEH endorsement and 2 renewals
  • 2500+ hours total helicopter flight time (may be reduced to 2000 hours with substantial aeromedical experience and over 200 hours night flying)
  • 1500+ hours Pilot in Command helicopter flight time
  • 1200+ hours turbine helicopter flight time
  • 100+ hours night Pilot in Command flight time
  • AW139 type rating with 100+ hours experience on type
  • B412 type rating with 100+ hours experience on type
  • NVIS rating
  • Low-level rating with winch endorsement
  • Prior EMS/SAR operational experience is preferred.

Type rating or qualification training may be offered to suitable candidates.
