Role Overview
Raytheon Australia is seeking an experienced Tactical Learjet Pilot to join its expert team in Nowra, New South Wales. This position involves delivering advanced airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) training, testing, and certification to support the Australian Defence Force. The successful candidate will operate specialized Learjet 35A aircraft and work alongside an experienced team on complex, mission-critical programs. Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) options within Australia may be available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a flight crew member for special mission EW Learjet 35A aircraft.

Assist the Head of Operations in maintaining a safe and effective working environment.

Act as a Deployment Commander on a rotational basis with other aircrew.

Contribute to the development of tactical operating procedures and standards for EW flight operations.

Conduct deployments in support of domestic and international exercises as required.
Skills, Experiences, and Qualifications

CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot License (Aeroplane).

Valid CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.

Eligibility to obtain a current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

CASA Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) training.

Low Level Rating (Aeroplane) and Formation Flying Flight Activity Endorsement (Aeroplane).

Instrument Rating (Multi Engine Aircraft (MEA) with Instrument Approach Procedure (IAP) 2D and IAP 3D).

Minimum of 500 hours Pilot In Command (PIC).

Minimum of 6 years of flying experience in military aviation operations.

Eligibility to hold or current possession of an AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance, with the ability to acquire a Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance.

Desirable:
Military pilot fast jet experience (or civilian equivalent supporting Defence Operations).

Desirable:
Additional CASA qualifications such as Flight Instructor, Flight Examiner, or previous check/training experience.
