The role

As a HEMS Touring Pilot, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting in world-class operations to our customers helping them to save lives and protect communities every day.

Day to day the Touring Pilot role offers varied and challenging flying across a range of disciplines including HEMS, Police and NVIS operations.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain the highest standards of professional expertise and safety throughout the conduct of this challenging role.

The role enables an individual to live anywhere on mainland UK and will work a flexible roster to cover duties at different bases

Essential experience of the HEMS Touring Pilot:

Either:

• One thousand hours pilot in command of aircraft of which five hundred hours is pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters; or
• One thousand hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations of which five hundred hours is as pilot in command under supervision and one hundred hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
• Two thousand hours minimum total helicopter experience.
• Five hundred hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment like the intended operation.
• Twenty hours VFR at night as pilot in command.
• Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK.

This role is full time and based onsite at Staverton, Gloucestershire Airport.

Qualifications for the HEMS Touring Pilot:

• Hold a UK ATPL(H) or CPL(H) + IR

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
