Requirements

Prospective Captains must meet the following essential criteria:

• Current UK CAA Part-FCL ATPL (A) or proven ability to convert to a UK licence (CAA EASA transfer route 5 or 6).
• Current type rating with minimum 4000 total flight hours.
• Minimum 1500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a commercial jet/turboprop multi-crew aircraft (MTOW 20,000kg+), excluding PICUS hours.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6.
• Valid Multi-Engine (ME) Instrument Rating.
• Valid Class 1 Medical certificate (valid 6 months+ from anticipated start date).

Desirable attributes include:

• An Embraer E-Jet (E190) type rating.
• Current experience operating as a Captain.

Applicants must provide copies of their Licence, Class 1 Medical, and the last three pages of their logbook.

Reapplication policy: Unsuccessful candidates from initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre stages may reapply after 6 months. Unsuccessful SIM stage candidates must wait 12 months. Applicants may only apply to one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) at a time; reapplication to any of the three is subject to the specified re-apply period.
