Azul Linhas Aéreas is seeking qualified First Officers (Copilotos) for its 2026 pilot selection pool, based in Barueri, SP, Brazil. This program offers opportunities for recruitment across both its regional (Azul Conecta) and mainline operations.

About the Role

This selection process aims to build a pool of qualified pilots for the First Officer position. Candidates will be evaluated and potentially routed between Azul Conecta and Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras based on their qualifications and the needs of the airline. Specific flight hour requirements will be assessed by the Pilot Recruitment Committee.

Responsibilities

• Ensure aircraft registration and airworthiness certificates, along with flight manuals (if applicable), are present onboard.
• Monitor the refueling operation in coordination with Maintenance or an authorized refueler via intercom or during external inspection.
• Confirm the quantity and distribution of refueled fuel onboard the aircraft.
• Conduct visual inspections of the aircraft, both externally and internally.
• Verify the presence and location of cabin, emergency, and survival equipment onboard during ferry flights without flight attendants.
• Obtain updated weather information for routes, destinations, and alternates during the flight.
• Complete necessary flight documentation when acting as Pilot Monitoring.
• Return all cabin materials to their designated places in the correct order.
• Scan the flight logbook and deposit it in the appropriate receptacle.

Requirements

For Copiloto - Azul Conecta:

• Flight hours will be analyzed by the Pilot Recruitment Committee.
• Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
• Multi-Engine (MNTE) rating – Valid or Expired.
• Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating – Valid or Expired.
• Class 1 Medical Certificate (CMA de 1ª classe) issued in Brazil – Valid.
• Brazilian Passport – Valid.
• Proficiency in English at ICAO Level 4 or higher is a plus.
• Higher education is an advantage but not a minimum requirement.

For Copiloto - Azul Linhas Aéreas:

• Flight hours will be analyzed by the Pilot Recruitment Committee.
• Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
• Multi-Engine (MLTE) or Type Rating – Valid or Expired.
• Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating – Valid or Expired.
• Jet Training or Multi-Crew Experience (RBAC 121/135 Company).
• Theoretical ATPL (CCT PLA - PLA Teórico).
• Class 1 Medical Certificate (CMA de 1ª classe) issued in Brazil – Valid.
• Proficiency in English at ICAO Level 4 or higher, valid for at least 2 months – Minimum requirement.
• Brazilian Passport – Valid.
• US Visa B1/B2 – Valid/Expired or European Citizenship (excluding ATR fleet).
• Higher education is an advantage but not a minimum requirement.
