Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:

  • Be Chief Pilot for Archer’s FAR part 135 certificate
  • Key leader in standing up certificate by 3Q2023
  • Successfully add Archer aircraft to certificate
  • Hire, train, motivate and inspire pilots to staff a very large number of Archer aircraft
  • Be present with the pilots, fly the line from time to time
  • Work with key stakeholders, such as HR, to make the above happen.
  • Be a creative problem solver - what Archer is doing has never been done before
  • Do the above while exemplifying Archer values

What you need:

  • Meet qualification as per FAR part 119.71
  • Hold ATP certificate
  • 3+ years of part 121 or 135 experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working collaboratively and successfully with FAA

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • International experience
  • Both fixed wing and rotary week part 135 and or 121 experience

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $188,000 - 235,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
