Pilot in Command - IFR Operations

A qualified candidate must fulfill the requirements outlined in FAR 135.243(c) for Pilot in Command duties under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions. The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 1,800 hours of total flight time, including 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command. Furthermore, they will have accumulated 500 hours of cross-country flight experience (defined as point-to-point), 250 hours of multi-engine flight time, 100 hours of turbine flight time, 100 hours of instrument flight time (with at least 50 hours in an aircraft), and 100 hours of night flight time.

Prior experience operating under FAR Part 121 or 135 regulations is required, as is a current Instrument Proficiency Check or a recent FAR 121/135 recurrent training within the last six months. The applicant must hold a Commercial Pilot License with a multi-engine land rating, an instrument rating, and high-performance and complex aircraft endorsements. They must possess a First or Second Class Medical Certificate (First Class is required for international operations) and an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

The selected candidate will be required to meet airport badging requirements, which include passing a TSA Security background check. A valid Driver's License and adherence to all company insurance standards are also mandatory. A current passport, English language proficiency, and eligibility to work in the United States, with unrestricted travel both into and out of the country, are further stipulations. Ameriflight participates in the E-Verify program.
