GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
:
The Aviation Captain is responsible for the safe conduct of flights, having the final authority in the operation of the aircraft during assigned flights. The Captain must ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as the policies and procedures specified in the company operations manual. The Captain is a company representative and must regularly act with professionalism to passengers while ensuring an efficient and safe operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:

Acts as pilot in command (PIC) on assigned flights, conducting flight operations in accordance with international, federal, and local regulations and corporate policies; supervises the flight crew while ensuring all necessary duties are performed before, during and after flights for the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft.

Uses checklists to ensure adherence to all company and aircraft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for flight operations, including but not limited to:

Prepares FRAT and Flight Plans.

Ensures preflight inspections are performed and completed prior to take-off and maintenance has resolved any identified issues prior to departure; ensures all operating records and maintenance forms are completed at post-flight; coordinates maintenance of the company aircraft while on trips.

Reviews trip itineraries to ensure flight and duty time limitations are not exceeded.

Ensures the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.

Reviews and calculates the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance data.

Complies with schedules and other directives governing aircraft operation. Makes decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviates the flight from the planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.

Studies weather conditions at departure, en route, destination, and alternate airports following all weather/natural disaster procedures.

Takes into consideration any pertinent NOTAM’s for the assigned trip.

Follows and enforces all safety procedures as it pertains to the SMS (Safety Management System).

Provides excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring all passengers’ needs are met including catering requests and transportation. Assists with handling passengers, visitors, vendors and answering telephones, as well as preparing for arrivals and departures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study; plus 5 years of experience in multi-crew aircraft; or equivalent combination of education and experience; must have 3000 total flight hours, 1000 hours PIC in multi-engine turbine aircraft, 300 hours actual instrument time and 300 hours night time.

Airline Transport Pilot Rating (English Proficient)

FAA First or Second Class Medical

Maintains required licenses and certificates to comply with company, ICAO (as applicable) and FAA requirements.

Must have FCC radio station operation permit

Type rated in Falcon 2000EX EASy.
