Allegiant Air Flight Attendant
Allegiant Air Flight Attendants are dedicated professionals who provide exceptional service to our valued customers and fellow team members. As essential members of our crew, Flight Attendants prioritize the security, safety, and comfort of passengers throughout their journey, from pre-boarding to arrival.
Responsibilities:
- Security: Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers, and carry-on baggage. Provide support to crew members and leadership. Guide and assist customers in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
- Safety: Conduct pre-flight safety checks of the cabin area. Ensure passengers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored appropriately, advising them on safety regulations and procedures. Take immediate action to maximize the safety of customers and crew during unusual conditions such as decompression, turbulence, mechanical malfunctions, medical emergencies, or customer disruptions. Assess and evaluate customers for signs of intoxication or potential threats.
- Comfort: Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and merchandise to all customers. Cater to the special needs of passengers. Effectively communicate with customers individually and via intercom, providing travel-related information.
- Administrative: Document and file all required reports, including inventory and trip reports. Complete international paperwork as required. Upload onboard sales promptly. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to perform all functions of the position.
- Must be able to attend a minimum of 4 1/2 weeks of training in Las Vegas and be willing to share a hotel room with a fellow classmate.
- Relocation after training to the domicile, if required, is at the applicant's expense.
- Must be able to react quickly with sound judgment.
- Ability to walk comfortably while facing forward down an aircraft aisle.
- Capability to rapidly maneuver and fit through aircraft overwing exits.
- Ability to fit into a jump seat harness without modification or extension to the seatbelt and harness.
- Capability to quickly and efficiently sit down and fasten seatbelts with a sense of urgency.
- Must possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using a tablet (e.g., iPad).
- Names on all required forms of identification (e.g., passport, driver's license, and social security card) must match.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers.

Preferred Requirements:
- Previous flight attendant experience.
Training:
Initial/Pre-Employment:
- Successful completion of a minimum 4 1/2-week new hire training program with a minimum of 5 hours of Initial Operating Experience.
- Maintenance of a 90% or above average on all written and oral exams, and successful demonstration of physical job requirements, including emergency/evacuation drills.
- Participation in water emergency training, which includes entering a swimming pool while wearing a life jacket.
- Class hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Upon successful completion of the entire training program, trainees will be offered employment.
- Trainees are paid a daily per diem according to the Flight Attendant Collective Bargaining Agreement to cover miscellaneous expenses.
Recurrent/Ongoing:
- Active participation in simulated emergency situations and operation of aircraft emergency equipment during recurrent emergency training and all requalification training.
- Any additional requalification, differences, and transition training will be provided as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate aircraft equipment (e.g., food carts, plane doors, emergency equipment, etc.).
- May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation.
- Regular attendance is essential.
- Exposure to extreme noise (e.g., airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations.
- Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Travel is required.
Essential Services Provider:
Allegiant, as a national air carrier, is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team Members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state, or federal order.

- Hourly Rate: $29.23
- The starting wage is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
