AirAsia Cadet Pilot Programme 2025

AirAsia invites applications for the prestigious 2025 Cadet Pilot Programme, offering a remarkable opportunity to embark on a career as an airline pilot. This programme is designed to select and train aspiring aviators who will be assigned to a flying school to commence their initial pilot training.

Prospective candidates are required to meet the following minimum selection requirements:

Essential Criteria:

  • Must be a Malaysian Citizen.
  • Age must be between 18 and 28 years in the year of application.
  • Minimum height of 158cm is required.
  • Demonstrates a strong command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Maintains a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) not exceeding 30.
  • Meets stringent visual acuity standards:
    • Distant visual acuity of 6/9 or better in each eye.
    • Binocular visual acuity of 6/6 or better.
    • Refractive error of 5 diopters or less. Final medical approval is subject to assessment by a certified medical doctor or an AirAsia Ophthalmologist Report.

Academic Qualifications:

Candidates must satisfy one of the following academic pathways:

  1. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent:
    • Achieved a minimum of Grade A in Mathematics and English.
    • Achieved a minimum of Grade B in Physics or Grade A in General Science.
    • Achieved a minimum of Grade B in any other two subjects.
  2. Degree (Recognised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia):
    • Possesses a degree in an Engineering or Science-related discipline.
    • Attained a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 or above.
    • Additionally, must hold an SPM certificate with a minimum of Grade B in 5 subjects, which must include English, Mathematics, and Science.
