Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member acts as Air Arabia’s ambassador, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall customer experience. He/She provides excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member must be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and the company's adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, and security checks.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities and malfunctions promptly.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides constant, excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Performs pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment before takeoff, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying. Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Carries out post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and performs the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring current license. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with a flotation device
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an added value.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shifts and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
