Port City Air seeks a Director of Training to oversee the efficient and timely training of its flight crewmembers in Boston, MA. This role involves coordinating and monitoring training programs to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Operations Specifications, while collaborating with operations teams and external training providers.
About the Role

Coordinate training activities and programs, interfacing with ground and flight training.

Collaborate with other operations team members as needed.

Monitor training programs for compliance with FARs and Operations Specifications.

Recommend improvements to the training program to maintain FAR compliance and safety standards.

Monitor the training process for adherence to curriculum and lesson plans, ensuring pilot competency.

Liaise with outsourced training providers, including oversight of simulators, ground school hardware, and courseware.

Maintain training records for all flight crewmembers, including PRD.

Notify the Chief Pilot and operations regarding individual assignments.

This position may involve some flying duties, such as training flights and checkrides.
Requirements

Previous experience in both ground and flight training activities.

Experience utilizing multi-engine aircraft in training activities.

Demonstrated proficiency and ease in the classroom environment.

Demonstrated proficiency and ease in the cockpit environment.

Ability to determine the performance level of a student.

Good written communication skills.
