He possesses a minimum of 2000 hours total flight time, including at least 1500 hours in category and 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command in category. The Aviation Pilot completes thorough pre-flight inspections before each flight, verifying the aircraft's airworthy condition through sign-off of the Daily Flight Log and performance of a complete walk-around. He exercises final authority regarding the operation of the aircraft and ensures the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
