Responsibilities

Operate Air Methods aircraft safely and in compliance with all regulations.

Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness.

Exercise final authority on aircraft operations and the safety of passengers and equipment.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of aircraft and medical systems, ensuring familiarity with the medical flight team.

Complete all required flight documentation accurately.

Perform detailed flight planning, often with short notice.

Participate in company meetings, activities, and community outreach.
Requirements
-
Must maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds.
-
Must be less than seventy (70) years old.
-
Must have flown in category within the previous 24 months.

Demonstrated ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and a professional working environment.
Qualifications
Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Program:
-
2500 total flight hours with a minimum of 2000 flight hours in category.
-
1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) in category.
-
500 hours of cross-country flight time, with at least 50 hours at night.
-
500 hours of turbine time.
-
100 hours night flight time.
-
100 hours of flight in actual instrument conditions in category.
ALNW Requirements:

2500 total flight hours with a minimum of 2500 flight hours in category.

150 hours night flight time.

300 hours of flight in actual instrument conditions in category.

50 hours in make and model.
Education & Experience:
-
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with two to five years of related experience and/or training.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft). An ATP rating in category fulfills this requirement.

Fixed wing multiengine rating is required for twin-engine aircraft.
-
Commercial single-engine land is required for single-engine aircraft.
-
A First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate is required.
