Air Inuit, a cornerstone of Nunavik's aviation landscape for over 42 years, seeks an experienced Dash 8 Captain to join its dedicated team. The Role:
The Dash 8 Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring the well-being of all passengers and crew on board. This includes:
- Adhering to the highest safety standards, as outlined by Transport Canada, aircraft manufacturers, and Air Inuit's internal procedures.
- Cultivating a professional and collaborative environment within the cockpit, ensuring all crew members are performing their duties effectively.
- Demonstrating a commitment to Air Inuit's values of punctuality, courtesy, and respect for the communities served.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3,000 hours total flying time, including 500 hours of turbine multi-engine Pilot-in-Command experience, or 5,000 hours total flying time including 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command experience in 703/704 operations.
- A valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Eligibility for a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and possession of a valid passport.
Assets:
- Prior Dash 8 and Northern flying experience are considered strong assets.
- Experience in 705 operations is highly desirable.
- Post-secondary education, fluency in French and English, and knowledge of Inuktitut are considered valuable assets.
