Job Purpose: Elevating the Passenger Experience
The Cabin Crew member serves as a distinguished ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall passenger experience, ensuring unparalleled customer service, and upholding the highest standards of safety and comfort throughout every flight. Incumbents must maintain peak fitness and readiness to operate efficiently, aligning productivity with established organizational measures, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Conduct and Readiness:
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, fitness, and adherence to all regulations for assigned flights. Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security Management:
- Provides clear and concise instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures, ensuring their well-being and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required, providing prompt and effective care.
- Reports any irregularities or malfunctions immediately to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate, ensuring swift resolution.
Exceptional Customer Service Delivery:
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook in compliance with airline and Civil Aviation Authority procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending to passengers' individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs with attentiveness and professionalism.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, applying relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructional documents.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, actively working to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the secure and orderly handling of cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations managed by the incumbent.
Operational Checks and Reporting:
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned during transit, and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provisioned before flight departures.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover and take-over of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any flight-related issues or discrepancies, and manages the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains essential professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring the currency of all required licenses.
- Contributes to team success by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications and Competencies
Academic, Training, and Language Proficiency:
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Must be medically fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Possesses a presentable demeanor, a friendly disposition, and a cheerful, positive attitude, even under stressful circumstances.
- Demonstrates strong customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and proactively attend to customers' needs and requests.
- Capable of skillfully managing difficult situations and resolving issues with demanding customers without compromising the airline's corporate image.
- Exhibits focus, with the capacity to identify irregularities and effectively handle threats and emergencies with commitment to successful outcomes.
- Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and strong teamwork competencies.
- Possesses very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages is advantageous and may be specified based on airline requirements.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is a beneficial asset.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern and accommodate extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Exhibits the ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
