A320 Captain - Aviation Pilot Job Description

The airline is actively seeking highly qualified aviation professionals to join its esteemed flight operations team. Preference will be extended to Saudi Nationals who possess a current A320 type rating and a valid General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) license. Non-Saudi Nationals who meet the specified requirements and are currently based in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are also encouraged to apply and will receive careful consideration.
Job Purpose
The Captain is entrusted with the critical responsibility of conducting assigned flights in strict adherence to the Company Operational Manual and all relevant GACA regulations. This pivotal role demands an unwavering commitment to ensuring the ultimate safety, security, and operational efficiency of every flight. The Captain will lead, support, and guide the flight and cabin crew, effectively managing emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios with decisive control to ensure successful mission accomplishment and uphold the airline's positive corporate image. As the ultimate authority for the aircraft during assigned flights, the Captain operates in accordance with approved schedules and flight plans, whilst meticulously prioritizing Safety, Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- A minimum of 5,000 total flying hours, including at least 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on commercial jet aircraft.
- A minimum of 800 hours as PIC on A320 family aircraft, with current type rating.
- Possession of a current and valid GACA or ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification, with a minimum level 4.
- Successful completion of technical and psychometric assessments, along with a Medical Fitness Check-up for Pilots, in accordance with Company and GACA standards.
Desirable Qualifications & Attributes:
- Preference will be given to candidates with Trainer experience, holding TRE, TRI, or LTC qualifications.
- A formal qualification in safety and emergency response training is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic airport procedures, security protocols, and aviation regulations.
- Proficiency in Crew Resource Management (CRM) training is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards related to aviation security.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems, Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation, technical report writing, and presentations.
- Experience with a low-cost airline model is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
