JOB TITLE: ATO Standardization Instructor ATP(A)

PLACE OF WORK

Primarily – Wizz Air, ATO office, Budapest, Hungary. The successful candidate will not be required to relocate to Budapest, however will be required to travel to Budapest at times.
Bases of the ATOs contracted for the ATP(A) program (currently Nyíregyháza, Hungary and Kavala, Greece).

JOB SCOPE

The Standardization Instructor ATP(A) is appointed by the Head of Training with the consent of the Accountable Manager and reports directly to the deputy ht ATP(A) for all related accountability matters.
The SI ATP(A) is responsible for standardization of all instructors placed under their responsibility
The person should be contracted to work sufficient hours to fulfil the management functions associated with the scale and scope of the Company operations.

Wizz Air ATO Deputy Head of Training

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Hold an instructor/EXAMINER certificate with the privilege to instruct/EXAMINE for at least one of the training courses provided;
Have practical experience and expertise in ATP (A) training, the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices;
Have comprehensive knowledge of:
– PART-FCL, PART-ORA and any associated requirements and procedures;
– Authority Technical Orders and the relevant Aviation Law;
– Company Specifications;
– The relevant parts of the Company’s Operations Manual.
– MS Office softwares;
– Be familiar with Compliance Monitoring Systems

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

Have adequate knowledge of the English language, and be fluent in writing.
Appropriate management and supervising experience in flight monitoring / supervising duties
Not be involved in an accident or serious incident or an ATC incident -for which he has been held proven by the relevant AAIB responsible during the last 5 years;
A good personal attitude relevant to representing Wizz Air ATO at all times;
A highly motivated individual with demonstrated capacity for hard work and responsibility with the ability to work alone and find solutions;
Attention to detail;
Strong organization, problem-solving and communication skills;
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills;
Experience in a multi-cultural, international organization;
Ability to work at Budapest Head Office and travel away regularly from Base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that all instructors understand and comply with standard SOPs and training policy;
Ensuring that all instructors apply similar standards as defined by the CFI;
Chair regular instructor base meetings according to schedule;
Providing feedback to CFI and Training Manager ATP(A) on performance of instructors.
Check trainee attendance regularly and notify Training Manager ATP(A) or CFI in case of non-attendance.
Collaboration with deputy ht ATP(A) for accomplishing all objectives and daily tasks
Overview on planning & delivery of the Training Program
Instructor time management, utilisation and team collaboration
FI, TKI and Flight Administration staff welfare and absences in collaboration with FOPs
Instructor training and standardisation
Assist in sound execution of the compliance management systems
Proper use of the systems, training forms and procedures
Student progress & reporting based on agreed training schedules
Monitor the proper completion of Student records
Implementation and update of all Training Standards
Compliance, maintenance of Flight Training SOPs
Review and further development of all Training programs offered
Long term planning of training in collaboration with FOPs
Collaboration with the Training Material provider.
Cross functional support with Training Department SI team
Student flight assessments
