Aviation Career Opportunity: Captains and Direct Entry First Officers (E195-E2)

SAS is currently seeking qualified Captains and experienced First Officers to join its team.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet all requirements and possess valid licenses at the time of application:

  • Unrestricted EASA ATPL (A).
  • EASA ATPL (A), CPL (A), or MPL (Non-Scandinavian EASA licenses accepted, subject to conversion prior to course start).
  • Valid Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • Valid Instrument Rating.
  • ICAO English Level 5 or 6 proficiency.
  • Unrestricted right to reside and work within the EU.
  • Clean criminal record.

Flight Time Prerequisites

Candidates must satisfy one of the following experience profiles:

  • 4,000 total flight hours, including 250 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or PICUS.
  • 3,500 total flight hours, including 500 hours as PIC on aircraft with an MTOW > 16T.
  • 3,000 total flight hours, including 1,000 hours as PIC on aircraft with an MTOW > 16T.

Recruitment Process

  1. Online interview with a recruiter.
  2. Online cognitive and personality assessments.
  3. Assessment Day: group exercises, simulator evaluation, and personal interview.
  4. Final Checks: background screening, security interview, and drug/alcohol testing.

Shortlisted applicants may expect assessment invitations during spring/summer 2026, with employment commencement scheduled for summer/fall 2026.
