First Officer - B747-400 or MD11 Fleet (July 2025)

Western Global Airlines is seeking a highly motivated and qualified First Officer to join its expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the world's fastest-growing cargo airline, a premier 21st-century, high-tech air cargo platform servicing customers in e-commerce, express, freight forwarding, logistics, nonprofit, and governmental organizations worldwide. The First Officer will serve as Second-in-Command of the flight, ensuring compliance with all regulations and directives pertaining to the conduct of the flight in a manner suitable to the Captain. The tour of duty is 17 days away from home base. A class date is anticipated in July 2025.

Essential Duties:

The First Officer operates in accordance with Western Global Airlines’ approved/accepted manuals and, as applicable, the Operations Specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Directives, and Manufacturer’s recommendations. He/She complies with all administrative programs, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements (e.g., physicals, takeoffs and landings, home study courses, etc.), pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures, and others, as assigned.

Education and Technical Requirements:

• Hold a current and valid FAA ATPL.
• Hold a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• ICAO English Level IV.
• Minimum of 2500 hours of total flying experience.
• No history of accidents or incidents.
• A valid US passport allowing unrestricted international travel due to military contract requirements.
• Previous Part 121 airline/aviation experience preferred.
• Must possess the ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and 10-year background check due to the safety-sensitive nature of the role.

Preferred/Ideal Skills:

• College degree in Aviation or related field.
• Previous B747-400 / Boeing aircraft type rating or MD-11 / Airbus aircraft type rating.
• 1000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
• Up to 500 hours of military flight time as pilot in command (PIC) of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane can count towards the 1,000-hour requirement.
• PIC in operations under either § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination of these.
