First Officer - Western Global Airlines

Western Global Airlines, a premier 21st-century high-tech air cargo platform, seeks a qualified First Officer to join its global team. The airline provides air cargo charter flights worldwide, servicing customers in e-commerce, express, freight forwarding, logistics, nonprofit, and governmental organizations.

The First Officer serves as Second-in-Command of the flight. In this capacity, the First Officer adheres to all regulations and directives pertaining to the conduct of the flight, ensuring compliance with the Captain's instructions. This position requires a tour of duty of 17 days away from home base.

Essential Duties:

The First Officer operates in accordance with Western Global Airlines’ approved and accepted manuals, including Operations Specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Directives, and Manufacturer’s recommendations. The First Officer also complies with all administrative programs, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements (e.g., physicals, takeoffs and landings, home study courses, etc.), pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures, and other assigned duties.

Education and Technical Requirements:

• Current and valid FAA ATPL.
• Valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• ICAO English Level IV proficiency.
• Minimum of 2500 hours of total flying experience.
• No history of accidents or incidents.
• Valid US passport allowing unrestricted international travel due to military contract requirements.
• Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and a 10-year background check, as this is a safety-sensitive role.
• Previous Part 121 airline/aviation experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• College degree in Aviation or a related field.
• Previous B747-400/Boeing aircraft type rating or MD-11/Airbus aircraft type rating.
• 1000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
• Up to 500 hours of military flight time as pilot in command (PIC) of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane can count towards the 1,000-hour requirement.
• Experience as a PIC in operations under either § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination of these.
