First Officer - B747-400/MD11 - Western Global Airlines

Western Global Airlines is seeking a qualified and highly motivated First Officer to join their expanding team. This home-based position will operate on either the B747-400 or MD11 fleet type with a class date scheduled for February 2025. The airline offers air cargo charter flights worldwide and caters to customers in e-commerce, express delivery, freight forwarding, logistics, nonprofit organizations, and governmental sectors.

The First Officer serves as Second-in-Command of the flight and must comply with all regulations and directives, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft in accordance with the Captain's instructions. The tour of duty is 17 days away from the home base.

Essential Duties:

The First Officer operates in accordance with all Western Global Airlines' approved manuals, Operations Specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Directives, and Manufacturer’s recommendations. The First Officer also complies with all administrative programs, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements, pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies and procedures.

Education and Technical Requirements:

• Hold a current and valid FAA ATPL.
• Hold a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Possess ICAO English Level IV proficiency.
• Accumulate a minimum of 2500 hours of total flying experience.
• Maintain a clean accident and incident record.
• Possess a valid US passport allowing unrestricted international travel.
• Previous Part 121 airline/aviation experience is preferred.
• Successfully pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and 10-year background check.

Preferred Skills:

• College degree in Aviation or a related field.
• Previous B747-400/Boeing aircraft or MD-11/Airbus aircraft type rating.
• 1000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
• Up to 500 hours of military flight time as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane may count towards the 1,000-hour requirement.
• PIC in operations under either § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination of these.
