Pilot
This pilot will create a memorable travel experience for guests while contributing to a highly regarded corporate culture at WestJet Encore. This individual will ensure the safe and efficient operation of Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft across an extensive network. They will demonstrate strong team leadership skills and act as a brand ambassador, embodying WestJet's core values.

Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2000 hours of total fixed-wing aircraft flight time.
- At least 250 hours of fixed-wing pilot-in-command time.
- A minimum of 500 flight hours under CARs 705 or equivalent*.
- Possession of a valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence (ATPL).
- Possession of a valid TC Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Possession of a valid TC Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or open work permit with PR application in process).
- Primary residence must be in Canada with eligibility to obtain and maintain provincial healthcare.
- Must possess all required visas and travel documents for unrestricted travel.
- Demonstrated oral and written proficiency in English.
- A clear police background check and criminal record.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test.
- Acquisition of a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) prior to the completion of Initial Ground School.
Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience beyond the basic requirements. Multi-engine, multi-crew, internal WestJet experience, total time exceeding 2000 hours, and graduation from one of our partnership schools are considered advantageous.
*Equivalent experience to CARs 705 includes but is not limited to Part 121 or European Airline, heavy military transport/multi-engine, large corporate PIC operating under CARs 704, high performance multi-engine aircraft PIC operated under CARs 704, or multi-engine/multi-crew in aircraft over 25,000lbs.
