Position Overview
Wasaya Airways is actively seeking dedicated and professional Flight Attendants to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers during all flights. Based in either Thunder Bay (YQT) or Sioux Lookout (YXL), Ontario, this full-time, permanent position offers a vital role within the aviation industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, diligently enforcing safety regulations, assisting passengers during emergencies, and representing Wasaya Airways with the highest degree of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
The Flight Attendant's core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensuring comprehensive passenger safety and comfort, strictly adhering to the approved Wasaya Airways Flight Attendant Manual and all company policies and procedures.
- Executing all required safety announcements and demonstrations with clarity, confidence, and precision.
- Responding effectively and decisively during emergency situations by diligently following the Captain's instructions and established emergency protocols.
- Planning, directing, and controlling in-flight service to uphold operational standards and enhance the passenger experience.
- Consistently upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and conduct in all interactions.
- Successfully completing all mandatory initial and recurrent Flight Attendant training programs and maintaining current qualifications.
- Fostering a healthy, collaborative, and positive working environment, promoting teamwork and mutual respect among colleagues.
- Performing and upholding Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments, demonstrating exemplary service to both internal and external customers.
- Undertaking any other related duties and assignments as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills
- Possession of a Grade 12 diploma or an equivalent educational qualification.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, with a proven ability to prioritize passenger satisfaction.
- Ability to travel freely and without restriction domestically within Canada.
- Capability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and all necessary security clearances.
- A professional and neat appearance, consistently reflecting airline uniform and grooming standards.
- Reliable transportation to and from the designated airport base.
- Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in MS-Office applications, internet navigation, and email communication.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a cohesive team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail in all aspects of duties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Post-secondary education in a related field such as aviation, hospitality, or tourism.
- Previous experience as a Flight Attendant in a commercial airline setting.
- Prior experience within the airline industry in any capacity.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Oji-Cree or Ojibway.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations Organizations and communities.
Working Conditions
This dynamic role involves a variety of working conditions, including:
- Extensive travel requirements as part of regular flight schedules.
- Requirement to work overtime as operational needs demand.
- Regular scheduled weekend and evening work.
- Mandatory overnight stays as part of flight assignments.
- Availability for duty on short notice, requiring flexibility.
- Exposure to outdoor work environments in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises and other inherent hazards of the aviation industry.
- Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs repetitively.
