Role and Career Progression

This critical Second Officer position empowers the successful candidate to serve as a Cruise Relief Pilot, facilitating essential operational support on long-haul flights. The role is strategically designed to enable accelerated career progression, allowing the pilot to accumulate the necessary flight hours—specifically, a minimum of 2000 hours total time (including 500 hours on type)—required for qualification and promotion to First Officer. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience (Pilot Careers)

Prospective Second Officers must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Minimum 1000 hours total flight time.
  • Possession of a valid EASA Part FCL (f)ATPL or ATPL.
    • Valid ME-IR (A) or current type / class rating.
    • PBN (Performance Based Navigation) endorsement is required.
    • Advanced UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) completed or a multi-pilot type rating must be held.
    • MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) completed or a multi-pilot type rating must be held.
  • A current and valid EASA Part FCL Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to pass a clean criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a clean drug test.
