Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant Opportunity | Perth Base

Virgin Australia: Award-Winning Inflight Service Team

Virgin Australia, an industry leader renowned for winning the AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Award for Best Cabin Crew seven years consecutively, is seeking highly professional and engaging Cabin Crew members to join its world-class team. The airline is committed to going the extra mile, both in the air and on the ground, to create wonderful experiences that place guests firmly at the heart of all operations. Exceptional individuals are sought to help illuminate the cabins and uphold this standard of excellence.

A Unique Perth-Based Lifestyle

While the traditional Cabin Crew lifestyle often involves being away from home for up to four days at a time, this unique opportunity, flying primarily out of Perth, offers an enhanced quality of life. Crew members on most shifts will return home on the same day, with only occasional requirements for overnight stays, providing a distinct advantage over typical rotating rosters.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Virgin Australia seeks individuals possessing genuine hospitality and an inherent dedication to service. The ideal applicant is a highly collaborative professional—cool, calm, collected, proactive, and safety-conscious. Candidates should embody charm, clarity, and an ability to remain focused under pressure.

Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, aged care, nursing, or the hotel sector is considered highly relevant and valuable for this transition into an aviation career.

  • Providing brilliant, proactive service to all guests throughout the flight.

  • Working seamlessly as part of a dedicated team, meeting diverse new people daily.
  • Demonstrating confidence and professionalism in managing situations outside of immediate control, such as weather delays, technical issues, or emergencies, ensuring guests feel secure and well-attended to.

Essential Requirements for Application

Successful candidates must satisfy the following minimum criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of prior full-time or part-time employment in roles specifically focused on caring for people or customers.
  • Hold a current passport with a minimum validity of 18 months remaining.
  • Possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or demonstrate the ability to obtain one rapidly.
  • Possess a current Australian First Aid and CPR certificate or demonstrate the ability to obtain one rapidly.

  • Be able to reach a height of 180cm (without shoes).
  • Be comfortable being in proximity to cats and dogs, which may occasionally travel on board the aircraft.

Commitment to Employee Benefits
