Tiltrotor Experimental Test Pilot

Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report on experimental flight tests of tiltrotor aircraft and helicopters.
- Conduct other flight test operations, maintaining flight currency and traveling as required.
- Participate in and lead test planning, flight evaluations, flight test analysis, and flight test reports.
- Demonstrate safe, effective, and efficient test planning and execution, adhering to crew resource management principles.
- Collaborate effectively with flight crews, telemetry engineers, air traffic control, chase aircraft, and other team members.
- Provide constructive recommendations for operational effectiveness, aircraft handling qualities, and design improvements.
- Serve as a consultant to management and a spokesperson for Bell on significant matters and programs.
- Perform additional tasks and assume varying responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved test pilot school.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time in tiltrotor aircraft and/or helicopters.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours as pilot in command.
- Minimum of 100 hours of developmental, engineering, or experimental flight test time.
- At least three years of experience in vertical lift flight test and systems development.
- FAA Class I or II medical certificate.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with design engineers, flight test crews, and maintenance personnel.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of test programs.
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 500 hours tiltrotor flight time.
- Experience with US Army aviation.
- CFI/CFII certification.
