Mandatory Professional and Licensing Prerequisites
Candidates must ensure strict adherence to the following core flying requirements:
- Total Flight Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of 800 hours logged experience ‘in type’ (relevant aircraft type).
- Type Rating: Possession of a current Type Rating is mandatory.
- Licensing Authority: Only current EASA License Holders will be considered.
- Required Licenses and Qualifications: The candidate must hold or meet the prerequisites for a Frozen ATPL, along with current Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine (ME), and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) endorsements.
- Theoretical/Practical Certification: Must possess a valid ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL(A) theory, or an MPL license, compliant with EASA Part-FCL standards.
- Medical Certification: A current and valid Class 1 Medical Certificate is required.
- Language Proficiency: English Language Proficiency (ELP) must be certified at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
Educational, Personal, and Compliance Standards
Beyond technical flying skills, the role demands outstanding personal integrity and compliance with international and Swiss regulatory standards:
- Academic Foundation: Candidates must demonstrate a solid educational background, evidenced by completed training with Matura/Abitur, Diplom HF, a general higher education entrance qualification, or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
- Language Skills: Very good German language proficiency is essential (minimum B2 level required if German is not the candidate’s native or everyday language), coupled with good English skills (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Documentation: Completely documented proof of flying performance is required, including comprehensive flight log extracts and valid license documentation.
- Reputation: The candidate must possess an impeccable professional and personal reputation.
- Travel Documents: A valid passport is required for international duties.
- Health Compliance: Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements approved in Switzerland (including, but not limited to, COVID-19 and Yellow Fever).
- COVID-19 Policy: COVID-19 vaccination is required where permitted by applicable law.
