Singapore Airlines - Direct Entry Second Officer

Singapore Airlines invites applications for the position of Direct Entry Second Officer. Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

• A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, recognized or validated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
• A valid Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (CPL/MEIR) with frozen ATPL or Multi Pilot Licence (MPL), recognized or validated by CAAS. Foreign licence holders are encouraged to check eligibility through the provided document.
• A minimum of 200 total flying hours as pilot of aeroplanes (minimum 100 PIC hours required for candidates holding foreign pilot licences).
• Proficiency in English (ICAO English Level 5 or above) for inflight radio-telephony communications.
• A minimum educational qualification of GCE ‘A’ level / IB / IGCSE or equivalent, Diploma, or Degree. Alternatively, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits, including English, Mathematics, and a Science subject, taken at one sitting.
• Myopia of not more than 800 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 300 degrees, fully correctable with optical aids.
• A minimum height of 1.62m to carry out safety and emergency procedures onboard.

Selection Process:

The recruitment process comprises several stages, including online application, computer assessment tests, interviews, simulator assessment, and medical check-up.

Training:

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating and further training to become a First Officer.

Remuneration and Benefits:

A monthly allowance is provided during the training phase. Upon appointment as a First Officer, candidates will enjoy an attractive salary, various allowances, and comprehensive benefits.

Bond:

Successful candidates are required to serve for the duration of the training and for a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as First Officer.
