Direct Entry Second Officer (Turboprop Experience)

Requirements
Candidates aspiring for this challenging role must fulfill the following stringent criteria:
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or a Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (CPL/MEIR), accompanied by a frozen ATPL that is recognized or can be validated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
- A minimum of 1000 total flying hours acquired as a pilot of turboprop aircraft. For candidates holding foreign pilot licences, a minimum of 100 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours is also required.
- Academic qualifications equivalent to a GCE 'A' Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Polytechnic Diploma, or a University Degree. Alternatively, candidates must have achieved a minimum of five GCE 'O' Level credits (or equivalent) in a single sitting, encompassing English, Mathematics, and a Science subject.
- Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English, meeting ICAO English Level 5 standards for in-flight radio-telephony communications.
- Visual acuity not exceeding 800 degrees of myopia and 300 degrees of astigmatism per eye.
- A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, recognized or eligible for validation by CAAS.
- A minimum height of 1.58 meters to effectively execute on-board safety and emergency procedures.
Selection Process
The selection process is comprehensive and conducted entirely in Singapore. It includes an online application, computer-based assessments, multiple interview stages, a simulator assessment, and a thorough medical check-up.
Training
Successful candidates will undergo advanced training to acquire the necessary Aircraft Type Rating. Eligible individuals may be placed on an accelerated training program to expedite their transition to operational duties.

Remuneration and Service Benefits

Bond
Successful applicants will be required to commit to a service bond covering the duration of their training and an additional period of seven years from their date of appointment as a First Officer.
