Requirements

Prospective Direct Entry Second Officers must satisfy the following stringent requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (MEIR) and frozen ATPL, recognized or capable of validation by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
  • A minimum of 200 total flying hours as a pilot of aeroplanes. Candidates holding foreign pilot licenses are specifically required to have a minimum of 100 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours.
  • Educational qualifications comprising a minimum of GCE 'A' Level / IB / IGCSE or equivalent, a Polytechnic Diploma, or a Degree. Alternatively, candidates must have secured a minimum of 5 GCE 'O' Level credits (or equivalent) in a single sitting, including English, Mathematics, and a Science subject.
  • Proficiency in English, demonstrated by an ICAO English Level 5 or above, essential for inflight radio-telephony communications.
  • Visual acuity with myopia not exceeding 800 degrees and astigmatism not exceeding 300 degrees per eye.
  • A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, recognized or capable of validation by CAAS.
  • A minimum height of 1.58 meters to effectively perform on-board safety and emergency procedures.

Selection Process

The selection process for this prestigious pilot role is comprehensive and includes:

  5. A thorough medical check-up.

All interview stages will be conducted in Singapore.

Training

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training, including, where applicable, the acquisition of an Aircraft Type Rating to ensure full operational readiness for our advanced fleet.

Remuneration and Service Benefits

During the intensive training phase, a competitive monthly allowance will be provided. Upon appointment as a First Officer, successful candidates will receive an attractive salary package complemented by various allowances and comprehensive service benefits.

Bond

A service bond will be required for the duration of the training period, followed by a further 7-year commitment commencing from the date of appointment as First Officer.
