Direct Entry Second Officer - Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join its team as Direct Entry Second Officers. As a Second Officer, the candidate will embark on an exciting career, flying one of the most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft fleets in the skies.

The successful candidate will undergo a rigorous training program designed to equip them with the highest flying standards. Ample opportunities for career progression to Captain and further skill development in Technical, Training, or Management tracks will be available for suitable candidates.

Requirements:

  1. Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi-Engine Aircraft Instrument Rating (CPL/MEIR) with frozen ATPL, or Multi Pilot Licence (MPL) recognized or validated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
  2. A minimum of 200 total flying hours as pilot of aeroplanes. (Candidates holding foreign pilot licenses require a minimum of 100 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours).
  3. Minimum GCE 'A' Level / IB / IGCSE or equivalent, Polytechnic Diploma, or Degree. Alternatively, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 5 GCE 'O' Level credits (or its equivalent) including English, Mathematics, and a Science subject, taken at one sitting.
  4. Proficiency in speaking and understanding English with ICAO English Level 5 and above for inflight radio-telephony communications.
  5. Myopia of not more than 800 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 300 degrees per eye.
  6. A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate recognized or validated by CAAS.
  7. Minimum height of 1.58m to carry out safety and emergency procedures onboard.

Selection Process:

All interviews will be conducted in Singapore. The selection process includes an online application, computer assessment test, interview with senior management, simulator assessment, and medical check-up.

Training:

Where applicable, successful candidates will be trained to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating.

Remuneration and Service Benefits:

A monthly allowance will be provided during the training phase. Upon appointment as a First Officer, the candidate will receive an attractive salary, along with various allowances and benefits.

Bond:

Successful candidates will be required to serve for the duration of the training and for a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as First Officer.
