SAS Scandinavia is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Chief Flight Instructor (ACFI) to join the Airbus training organization. This pivotal role supports and deputizes for the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) within SAS Crew Training, ensuring the maintenance of exemplary training standards, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity.
Role Overview
The Assistant Chief Flight Instructor will work within a professional management environment, collaborating closely with the CFI to oversee Airbus flight training initiatives. The successful candidate will play an essential role in upholding the safety and quality standards that define SAS Scandinavia’s flight operations.
Key Responsibilities

Act as a qualified instructor on the relevant Airbus aircraft type.

Provide comprehensive support to the CFI across all operational and training-related matters.

Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Chief Flight Instructor during periods of absence.

Maintain expert knowledge of all relevant regulatory documentation, including the OM-D, ATO manual, and associated training manuals.

Evaluate type-related training, including LIFUS programs, and propose strategic improvements.

Collaborate with STOOL and MFTS on all pertinent training matters.

Attend and participate in professional meetings as directed by the Head of Training and NP Crew Training.
Candidate Requirements

Current qualification as an instructor on a SAS-relevant Airbus aircraft type.

Demonstrated instructional experience within an EASA ATO environment.

Proven capability to assume CFI responsibilities when required.

Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language.

Proficiency in standard IT tools, including the Microsoft Office suite.
