Cabin Crew Opportunities: SAS Scandinavian Airlines

SAS is expanding and invites motivated professionals to join its team as Cabin Crew. The airline is currently recruiting Cabin Crew, including Air Hosts, Hostesses, and Air Stewards, for base locations across Scandinavia, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Bergen. Successful candidates will contribute to a legacy of safety, exceptional service, and memorable passenger experiences.

Role Overview

Cabin Crew members are responsible for ensuring onboard safety, delivering high-quality service, and representing the SAS brand. The role involves interacting with a global clientele and maintaining operational excellence. Candidates with backgrounds in hospitality, catering, or premium service may be assigned additional responsibilities related to onboard dining and premium service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Age: Minimum 18 years (20 years for Norway-based positions).
  • Education: Completed high school education or equivalent.
  • Height: Between 160 cm and 190 cm (without shoes).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing role.
  • Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Skills: Strong swimming proficiency.
  • Documentation: Valid EU passport allowing for unrestricted worldwide travel.
  • Availability: Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Compliance: Ability to meet local residency/commuting requirements and adhere to SAS uniform regulations.

Professional Qualifications and Assets

While previous cabin crew experience is considered an advantage, it is not mandatory for all positions. Experience in hospitality, sales, food and beverage, catering, hotels, or events is highly valued. Specialist onboard service roles particularly favor candidates with culinary or premium service backgrounds.

Experienced Cabin Crew Requirements

Candidates applying as experienced Cabin Crew must possess:

  • A valid EASA Attestation and Medical certificate.
  • A minimum of one year of continuous experience as Senior Cabin Crew within the past five years.

Security and Medical Standards

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the following:

  • Comprehensive security assessment, including an interview, 5-year background check, reference checks, and a verified clean criminal record.
  • Approval by relevant aviation authorities for access to security-restricted areas.
  • Demonstration of good physical and mental health, including vision of +/- 0.7 (with or without correction), and attainment of EASA medical approval.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (blood and urine samples).
  • Successful completion of the mandatory SAS Cabin Crew training course.
