About the Role and the Team
The Cabin Crew Manager serves as a frontline leader, providing essential support and guidance to the Cabin Crew. Reporting to the Head of Cabin Crew, the individual will join a team of six Cabin Crew Managers at the Copenhagen base, collaborating closely with colleagues across Scandinavia in a dynamic, cross-functional capacity. The primary mission involves leading and inspiring the cabin crew while upholding the highest standards of operational excellence and safety. This role acts as a crucial conduit between corporate directives and operational execution, ensuring alignment and effective implementation of strategies. The Cabin Crew Manager will play a pivotal role in reinforcing SAS's core values: Inspiration, Collaboration, Accountability, Recognition, and Execution.
Key Responsibilities and Challenges
- Lead and support cabin crew, ensuring engagement, motivation, and readiness to deliver exceptional service at the Copenhagen base, including remote leadership.
- Contribute to fostering a positive work environment, participating in initiatives that promote well-being and maintain a supportive team culture.
- Collaborate effectively with ancillary departments such as Planning, Commercial, and People teams to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear operational standards and procedures, enabling the team to maintain focus and adapt to a fast-moving environment.
- Monitor and follow up on crew absence, customer feedback, and engagement plans, and participate in the scheduled "jour-phone" rotation.
- Cultivate trust and team spirit, provide recognition, motivate team members, and encourage a proactive attitude that drives superior customer experiences.
