Gulfstream G150 Pilot in Command
About the Role
Reynolds Jet seeks a highly motivated and experienced aviator to join their team as a Gulfstream G150 Pilot in Command (PIC). This position holds the ultimate responsibility for the safety and well-being of the flight crew, passengers, cargo, and the aircraft itself.
The PIC is entrusted with making all decisions regarding the safe conduct of the flight, utilizing sound judgment and incorporating input from crewmembers. This individual will demonstrate exceptional leadership and Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills, fostering a collaborative and respectful cockpit environment.
Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command reports to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Safety and Compliance: Upholding the highest safety standards in accordance with Reynolds Jet policies, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, and the General Operations Manual.
- Flight Planning and Execution: Meticulously planning flight assignments, considering factors such as weather conditions, aircraft performance, fuel requirements, and navigational aids. Ensuring the flight plan is executed safely and efficiently.
- Crew Management: Providing clear direction and guidance to the Second in Command (SIC) and fostering a collaborative and communicative cockpit environment.
- Passenger Safety and Comfort: Conducting thorough pre-flight briefings for passengers, addressing safety procedures and emergency protocols. Ensuring a comfortable and secure cabin environment.
- Aircraft Maintenance and Documentation: Conducting pre-flight inspections to verify aircraft airworthiness, ensuring all required documentation is onboard, and reporting any maintenance discrepancies or irregularities to the Director of Maintenance.
- Security: Acting as the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and Inflight Security Coordinator (ISC) for all flights under the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Twelve Five Standard Security Program (TFSSP).
- Emergency Procedures: Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and responding decisively and effectively in any unforeseen situation to ensure the safety of all onboard.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Licenses/Credentials: Airline Transport Pilot certificate, appropriate category, class, and type rating, and an instrument rating.
- Medical: Current First Class medical certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 1,200 hours of flight time, including 500 hours of cross country flight time, 100 hours of night flight time, 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument flight time, and at least 50 hours of actual instrument flight.
