Flight Attendant - Wagga Wagga

Regional Express (Rex Airlines) is seeking dedicated, independent individuals to join the team as full-time solo Flight Attendants based in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. As Australia’s largest independent regional airline, Rex operates a fleet of Saab 340 aircraft, connecting regional communities to major cities.

Role Overview

In this solo cabin role, flight attendants are responsible for managing the entire cabin independently. This position requires a strong focus on safety, compliance with aviation regulations, and the delivery of warm, genuine, and personalised inflight service. Duties include performing equipment and security checks, conducting inflight announcements, providing food and beverage service, and maintaining cabin cleanliness.

This role offers a competitive remuneration package and a dynamic work environment. Candidates must be prepared for a roster that includes weekends, public holidays, shift work (early starts and late finishes), and periodic overnight stays away from home.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Must hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Must be no taller than 173 cm.
  • Must hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
  • Must hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate obtained within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to pass a police security check to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
  • Ability to swim fully clothed without aid or a floating device (a swim assessment is mandatory).
  • High level of personal presentation and a natural commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability regarding varied working hours, including peak periods and holidays.

Language and Education Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate one of the following:

  • Completed a minimum of 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand; OR
  • Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years; OR
  • Worked in the UK, Ireland, or the USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years; OR
  • Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.

Training

Extensive training is provided by Rex Airlines; prior flying experience is not required.
