Pel-Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Regional Express (Rex), Australia's largest independent regional airline, is seeking highly motivated and experienced Captains to join its dedicated team operating a fleet of King Air B350 and Pilatus PC-24 "Super Versatile Jets" for the NSW Ambulance fixed-wing contract. Based out of Mascot, Sydney, this opportunity offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Pilots will play a vital role in delivering essential 24/7 emergency medical services across New South Wales and beyond. Working in close collaboration with NSW Ambulance Flight Nurses and Staff, successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of patients requiring urgent medical attention. This includes emergency patient retrieval and inter-facility transfers, utilizing the unique capabilities of both the King Air B350 and the state-of-the-art Pilatus PC-24 jet aircraft.
Joining the fleet in 2024, the PC-24 marks a new era in aeromedical care for NSW Ambulance. Its advanced capabilities, including a modern Honeywell equipped cockpit and exceptional short-field performance, allow access to locations previously inaccessible by similar-sized jets, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
Successful candidates will commence operations on the B350 with the opportunity to transition to the Pilatus PC-24. Positions are available for Line Captains. Upon completing probation, all Pel-Air staff are eligible for Rex Group Staff Travel benefits.
