Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Flight Attendant position plays a crucial role in PSA Airlines' business growth by ensuring safe and efficient flight operations. This role is instrumental in achieving customer satisfaction through professional service delivery, adhering to company objectives and standards.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient conduct of flights from planning through termination.
  • Adhering to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), TSA, DOT regulations, and company procedures and policies.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all duties assigned by the company or Captain.
  • Conducting preflight inspections of cabin emergency equipment pertinent to the specific aircraft type, as detailed in the Inflight Manual.
  • Promptly reporting any mechanical discrepancies to the Captain.
  • Communicating perceptions regarding passenger safety directly and clearly to the Captain.
  • Maintaining a high degree of crew coordination and professionalism.
  • Performing all duties in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner while on duty.
  • Completing all required records and reports.
  • Upholding the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • College education or a minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age.
  • Ability to relocate to or commute to an assigned domicile.
  • Maximum height of 6 feet 0 inches and a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches, while wearing shoes.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas.
  • Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S. upon hire.

Additional Information:

  • Delegation: In absence, responsibilities are delegated to the Manager of Inflight Operations.
  • Authorities: None.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.
  • Work Environment: This job operates within an aircraft cabin. Occasional use of standard office equipment, such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, and filing cabinets, may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Employees must be able to perform essential functions, which include regular talking or hearing. While largely a sedentary role, frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, manual dexterity for handling/feeling objects, and reaching with hands and arms are required.
  • Security Clearance: All employees must successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49 CFR 1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screening.
