Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 650 aircraft based in Daytona Beach, FL (KDAB). This position is part of a two-pilot account, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
    • Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
    • Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
    • Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
    • Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required.
    • Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
    • Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the maintenance status, to ensure mission capability.
    • Recording aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
    • Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished per SOPs.
    • Completing passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation.
    • Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication during all phases of flight operations.
  • Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
    • Providing quality service to owners and passengers and identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
    • Investigating and resolving service deviations.
    • Collaborating with crew members and internal partners to provide a consistent service experience.
    • Resolving conflicts and challenges in an acceptable manner.
    • Meeting any special needs of passengers.
  • Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
    • Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
    • Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is required.
  • 4-6 years of experience is typically preferred.
  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in applicable fleet (Challenger 650 type rating or ability to obtain one) is required.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
