Challenger 650 Pilot Position - Executive Jet Management
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to join its team. This position is based at Manassas, VA (KHEF) and involves piloting a Challenger 650 aircraft under Part 135 regulations.
Purpose of the Position:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft while delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of aviation regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Comply with all company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Conduct comprehensive flight planning, including performance calculations, weight and balance assessments, and Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefings.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate effectively with EJM personnel.
- Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Thoroughly inspect the aircraft pre-flight, ensuring its maintenance status meets mission requirements and documenting any discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Oversee all ground servicing activities, including fueling, oil checks, and oxygen supply, in accordance with established procedures.
- Deliver passenger briefings as per company policy and regulations, providing exceptional customer service and catering to the specific needs of each passenger.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during all operational phases.
Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactively investigate and resolve any service deviations.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to deliver a consistent and seamless service experience.
- Handle conflicts and challenges professionally and effectively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain current training and experience requirements mandated by regulatory bodies and company policies.
- Adhere to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly report any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through designated channels.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of aviation experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating for the applicable aircraft fleet.
- Must be able to fulfill all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
