Executive Jet Management Seeks Global 6500 Pilot in Command (PIC)
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Pilot in Command (PIC) to join their team at Bedford, MA (KBED). This opportunity offers the chance to operate a new Global 6500 aircraft for a discerning client with a long history of aircraft ownership. This three-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, will fly a combination of Part 91 and Part 135 operations, totaling an estimated 350 hours annually and encompassing both owner flights and retail charter.
The Role:
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Meticulously plan and execute each flight, including crew assignments, flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance tasks, and pre-flight inspections.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks by leading thorough Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefings.
- Compliance & Coordination: Maintain strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate seamlessly with company personnel. Act as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Exceptional Service: Deliver a superior customer service experience to owners and passengers, anticipating and exceeding their needs while effectively addressing any special requirements.
- Clear Communication: Utilize effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to foster clear, timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
- Proactive & Collaborative: Identify and proactively address service deviations, collaborating effectively with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistently excellent passenger experience.
- Professional Development: Remain current with all regulatory and company-required training, maintaining the necessary recency of experience and actively participating in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred
- FAA Type rating in Global Vision is strongly preferred
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
